About
Hannah’s playing credits are as varied as her taste in music
Hannah Dilkes is a trombonist, composer, and facilitator whose music crosses genres with ease. From jazz clubs to festival fields, orchestras to brass bands, she’s performed everywhere from Glastonbury and the EFG London Jazz Festival to the Grand Prix and the Women’s Euros.
She has worked with artists including Olivia Dean, Monsieur Periné and Craig Charles, while also championing new voices in jazz, soul, and experimental music. A winner of BBC Young Composer of the Year, Hannah continues to explore the edges of sound through improvisation, electronics, and cross-genre collaborations. Hannah is also a member of She’s Got Brass, an all-female brass band breaking barriers and redefining musical norms and championing gender equality in music.
At the heart of it all is versatility: a love of discovering connections between styles and bringing the trombone into unexpected spaces.
